Slovakia is enough for six months without Russian gas

Slovakia will be able to live without Russian gas without harm to their own economy for no more than 6 months. This was announced in his report by Pavil Pavlis – Minister of Industry of the country.

“If the matter, suddenly, will reach the termination of the supply of Russian gas through Ukraine, which, I think, will not happen,” Pavlis said, “we will continue to provide normally with fuel and the population of the republics”.

The new three -sided meeting on the gas issue of Russia – Ukraine – the European Union will take place on October 2 or 3 of this year. Pavlis’s performance was caused by delays in gas supplies from Russia to Slovakia transit through Ukraine. According to the Gazprom leadership, the delay occurred due to a technical failure, and not due to political disagreements between the parties. The failure occurred due to work on optimizing the company’s website.

At the same time, the President of Gazprom emphasized that the Russian company continues to fulfill the main contractual obligations, European consumers have not read only additional volumes supplied outside the main contract. He also noted that Russia began active pumping of gas into underground storage facilities in the Russian Federation, which will satisfy both the main and additional demand of European partners.
