Russia banned the entry of 25 thousand Ukrainians

Over the past month, the number of citizens of Ukraine who was banned from entering the territory of Russia has increased by 5 thousand. Now this number has reached 25 thousand. In total, 427 foreign citizens were banned from entering the Russian Federation.

According to Konstantin Romodanovsky, head of the Russian Federal Migration Service, in 2013 the department did not allow 25 thousand Ukrainians to their territory. According to Romodanovsky, you should not look for some kind of bias in relation to Ukrainian citizens, since the ban on entry is determined by a special automated migrant accounting program. The official also recalled that citizens of Ukraine can be in Russia for 3 months without any visas. In addition, this period does not include 30 days allocated for independent return home. The automated system closes the right to enter the country for 3 years if a person violated the rules and has been in Russia for more than 4 months without any official reason for this. At the same time, Sergei Lavrov, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, is sure that Ukrainian and Russian citizens should cross borders exclusively according to foreign passports. Vladimir Putin also said that all foreign citizens, including Ukrainians, will use foreign passports from January 1, 2015 when entering the territory of the Russian Federation. In turn, the situation with Europe is the opposite. The European Union is ready to cancel a visa for Ukrainians and simplify the border crossing procedure. Of course, for this Ukraine must fulfill some conditions.
