The action “Candle of Memory” in the northern capital of Russia gathered about 5 thousand participants. This is much more than the organizers originally planned. The event was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad.
A promotion called “Candle of Memory” in St. Petersburg, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Nazi blockade, supported much more participants, rather than planned. Most people already had their own candles brought from home. According to the information of law enforcement, there were about 5 thousand citizens on Palace Square. At the end of the moment of silence, the thematic 3D-machine installation began. Within its framework, it was possible to combine over 600 photos reflecting the terrible period of the blockade. Currently, the installation of the video is perhaps the most popular means of creating high -quality multimedia shows. Video installation gives excellent opportunities in the field of high information technologies, where computer graphics can border the real video. In this case, this method allowed to plunge into those events, feel all their tragedy and hopelessness. The representative of the Organizing Committee of the Youth Promotion “Candle of Memory” said that 1944 participants were originally planned – it was this year that Leningrad was exempted from the blockade. However, the number of people who want to pay tribute to the tragic events of those times were significantly larger. Thus, the idea of the action was a little broken, ”said one of its organizers,“ but, nevertheless, there is nothing bad in this, because if people came to honor the memory of their own free will, this means that the holiday is important for the city.
